Documenting the Transitioning Landscape of a Public Space

A Way, Away (Listen While I Say) is a project by artists Amanda Williams and Andres L. Hernandez that activates a building in St. Louis, MO, that was slated for demolition. Through a series of five participatory interventions, A Way, Away draws attention to the life cycle of not only the building, but the communities that surround it.

At the onset of the creation process, Civic Creatives was invited to serve as a story catalyst for the site—harnessing our communications design offerings to develop a companion website to the physical space and share real-time stories and social media documentation of the experiences and events it hosted.
